Part 1: How to find the right laptop charger
Look at the label on your old charger (or the bottom of your laptop) and check these 3 things:
- Voltage (V): must match exactly — e.g. 19.5V for most Dell, 20V for most Lenovo.
- Watts (W) or Amps (A): same or higher is OK. A 65W charger can replace a 45W one; a 45W cannot replace a 65W.
- Pin / connector size: e.g. Dell 4.5mm, Lenovo 4.0mm round, USB-C, or MagSafe 2 for older MacBook Air.

- Find the part number: remove the old battery (or open the back cover) and look for a code like HT03XL, WDX0R or L12L4E01. This is the most reliable way to match.
- Check voltage: must match your old battery (e.g. 11.55V, 11.4V, 14.8V, 10.8V).
- mAh / Wh: same or higher means same or longer battery life.
